Divine Light: The Story of Diwali is an AI-crafted mythological short-form visual story created using painting-style AI imagery and cinematic subtitle editing. The project reimagines the spiritual and cultural essence of Diwali through a visually poetic digital format.
The narrative brings together multiple legends behind Diwali — the return of Lord Ram, Sita Devi, and Lakshman after fourteen years of exile; the victory of Lord Krishna over the demon Narakasura; and the divine union of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu. Each moment was visually interpreted using carefully directed AI-generated artwork to preserve emotional depth, cultural symbolism, and cinematic continuity.
Rather than animation, this project focuses on still-image storytelling, where each frame was designed like a painted cinematic shot and sequenced with rhythm, music, and subtitles to create an immersive viewing experience. Lighting, composition, and mood were treated with the same discipline as a film storyboard to maintain narrative flow.
This project demonstrates my approach to:
Mythological visual storytelling
AI prompt-driven cinematic composition
Cultural narrative adaptation for short-form digital platforms
Emotional pacing using music and subtitle timing
The final output was optimized for vertical social platforms and short-video audiences, blending tradition with modern AI-driven visual craft.
